Summer Lingerie
Summer is here. I am sure of it now. It was about 90 degrees in Los Angeles today, our Memorial Day, and it’s time to put on your light bedwear. While la may not be humid I know a great deal of the rest of the United States has started to get quite humid. You don’t want to be wearinf tight or heavy bed clothes during this time of year. Consider wearing a light babydoll to bed instead of those heavy wool pjs. Now I know you love pajamas, but instead of blasting the air conditioner all night and drying out your throat just so you can wear those hand made pajamas your aunt gave you for Chirstmas, try wearing something a little more appropriate for the season. I find that babydolls are the loose fitting solution to the summer heat. They’re mostly made of sheer material so they have a lot airflow, unlike winter lingerie that is designed to keep you warm.
For summer lingerie you should be thinking about what is comfortable in the heat. Many like to sleep in the nude during the summer; while this is certainly comfy you should consider wearing some sexy lingerie this season. Lingerie is great for just before bed, when you’re looking to get in the mood for playtime. Summer presents some problems for lingerie lovers, but you can have all the sexiness of heavier winter lingerie during summer if you choose the right pieces. Just think loose. You want to be loose…

Thong Bathing Suits
Thong bathing suits are some of the more revealing constructions that you can wear to the pool or beach. I usually only wear a thong in the privacy of my own pool, but others may want to try the garment out in public. You certainly will get attention from the men. Probably the ladies as well. They’re just jealous of your sexy behind though. They wish they looked as hot as you will in sexy cheetah micro thong. You’ll be the sexiest on the shore! Swimwear is the lingerie of summer and I encourage you to embrace swim suits the same way you indulge in lingerie. The more sets you have, the more current you can look. For those who go to the beach and pool frequently having a few pieces to choose from is key. Especially since you don’t want to have faded old looking bathing suit while you’re laying in the sun. You’ll end up looking like a bum if you wear an old tattered bathing suit. If you really want to make an impression, alternate a few suits to stay current. Don’t mix in suits from last year because, other than looking like they’ve seen some sun, they are probably no longer in style.
You may not have noticed, but trends in swimwear move pretty quickly. What is hot one year probably looks dated the next. Bright green goes in and out of style periodically, but although hot last year isn’t too prevalent this year. Have fun at the beach and pool.

Lingerie always looks better with a little (or a lot) of glitter. The best way to do this is with some rhinestone jewelry that lights up any outfit. Jewelry that goes with lingerie isn’t the same stuff that you normally wear out and about. Jewelry that is paired with lingerie is the type of stuff that is best for sexy nights with your lover. Some of the sexy chokers that are available spell out the character that you’re assuming for the night. Some chokes say things like diva or sexy. Others spell out, “I heart Cum,” in dazzling rhinestones. Like I said before, these aren’t the type of thing that you’d want to wear to work. Unless you work at a brothel. Not that their is any innocence in the situations you’ll be getting into. Especially when you’re wearing those crotchless panties that you’ve been saving. You’re a dirty girl aren’t you? Oh so dirty.

Micro Skirts
The nights are certainly getting warmer, are they not? Don’t you agree? Well for the warm nights of the coming summer you’re going to want to wear something that is short and airy. You want to show off those legs when you’re out or when you’re just feeling like showing off at home. Going out in a sexy micro skirt during summer is more or less a necessity in big cities. Tribal Bikinis
You probably have read a little bit about swimwear trends already this year, but we want to reinforce what the style experts are selling as sexy this summer. The hue word for swimwear this season is tribal. Tribal swimwear is hot this season and if you’re going to look fresh and current at the pool or beach you’re going to need to throw out those hawaiian floral prints and step into some sexy earth tones with ancient detailing. By ancient I mean detailed with materials that were available to the people time before Christ. Back in the BC. There was no lace then. And probably no swimwear either, but that’s beside the point. Swimwear this season includes use of brushed gold at the higher end and metallic material at all levels. Metallic may not seem tribal at first glance, but the ancients loved their gold and silver possibly even more than the ladies of today. Bathing suits this year are cut more in strips than in past years. Conformity to the triangle shape of the traditional bikini is noticeably weaker this year than in years past. Many suits seem to wrap around the body almost as if fabric was ripped from a single piece.
Other details to look out for this year are feathers and beads, both of which go well with the tribal trend that is so obvious this year. Have fun this summer expressing your inner tribeswoman. And look hot doing it.

French Lingerie
French Lingerie means different things to different people. Some think luxury. Some think lace. Still others think of french maids in short skirts and leggings. French lingerie more than anything is an idea in the mind of the one shopping. For lingerie to be French in style, it does not need to be made in France. Many of the top designers save you money by manufacturing outside of Europe, where costs can bring bra prices into the hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars. Now, some of you may be able to afford such luxury. Lucky you. Most of us are stuck bargain shopping at least a little bit. Just becuase you don’t want to spend a whole bunch on French made lingerie doesn’t mean that you can’t get the same look in American made and Asian imports. French designed brands like Oh la la Cheri are in the traditional french style of exotic lingerie, but the pieces aren’t necessarily made in France.
Lace lingerie is always a popular choice. French lace is obviously the best, but that doesn’t mean that other countries haven’t figured out the complex manufacturing techniques key to making delicate and beautiful forms within the intricate framework of lace. Many of the top French designed brands use lace that isn’t made in France! The French even realize that the lace doesn’t have to come from France. You might want to splurge a bit for something like your wedding dress, but for lingerie don’t be afraid to try the French designed lingerie instead of French made lingerie. Anyway, if they make underwear anything like they make cars…be sure to bring a safety pin…

Tribal Swimsuits
Summer is very near. You need to start thinking about what type of bathing suit that you’re going to strut around in. Tribal inspired designs are turning out to be very popular this year. As are one piece bathing suits and monokinis. There are tons of styles to choose form in many different colors. As far as this year’s palette for swimwear goes, a trend toward earthy tones is notable. Regardless of fabric type, colors are creams, orange/rust tones, light browns and possibly washed out greens. Along the line of looking earthy, crochet swimwear is making a big splash this season. Crochet lingerie by such designers as Musotica is very popular. A lot of swimwear this summer goes well with the corn row look in the hair. Very natural. Almost Rasta. Maybe not that natural…dread locks aren’t necessarily popular. Unless you count that American Idol finalist, Kristen Bowersox. She manages to have dreads without looking too greasy.
With the natural turn that swimwear is taking this year, you’ll be able to actually get into the pool this year. Don’t worry too much about putting on makeup for the pool or beach. Try to relax this year and actually do more than just sit in the sun. Use your new swimsuit to wander the shore and show off your carefully chosen summer uniform. If you go to the beach or pool a lot maybe consider getting a few suits for early, middle and late summer. Do a cannonball in a super sexy Monokini!
